Sexy, smoldering Alejandro Fernandez has established
himself as a successful singer in both regional Mexican
and Latin Pop. He has inherited the smooth, expressive
voice of his father, legendary ranchera singer Vicente
Alejandro's first performance was at the age of 5
in front of an audience of 10,000 people. At the age
of six, he starred in the movie "Picardia Mexicana".
His first recording was a duet with his father "Amor
de los Dos".
Although he studied architecture for a brief period,
Alejandro continued his musical career into adulthood.
His first solo album, "Alejandro Fernandez" was released
in 1991. His biggest break came with "Me Estoy Enamorado"
which became multiplatinum in Latin America and included
the hits "Me Estoy Enamorando", "Si Tu Supieras",
"Yo Nací para Amarte" and "En El Jardín",
sung as a duo with Gloria Estefan.
In 1999, Alejandro teamed with Placido Domingo on
"Christmastime in Vienna". Since that time Alejandro
has continued to record both pop and rancheras and
has continued to tour successfully with his father.
